DSP Award Recipient - Julie Etz

The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is proud to recognize Julie Etz as the Portage DD Direct Support Professional (DSP) Award Recipient for the month of February.   Julie works for Portage Industries, Inc.  and was nominated by Jason S. 

Here is what Jason had to say about Julie:

“Julie is a fantastic person and a hard worker. She's fun to be around – I remember when she took me fishing at West Branch!  She's also incredibly supportive.   When I work in her group, she helps me with tasks and always treats me with respect.  Julie has a special way of keeping everyone happy and calm.  She handles challenges head-on and always puts her clients first.  She's always smiling and in a great mood.  Julie is everything a DSP should be: kind, caring, and someone who makes others happy. Congratulations, and thank you Julie!”

 This award is an opportunity to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities while also promoting independence and inclusion.

Individual award recipients will receive public recognition from Portage DD and be promoted on our social media channels. Award recipients will also later be considered for Direct Support Professional of the Year.

All nominations will be kept on file for review and consideration for a period of 12 months after initial submission.
