Explore - Transition tips for students and families
Our classrooms and routines are changing. One way to help adjust to a difference in daily environment and schedule is to discuss what made a good day when we were at school or work and how can we make today a good day? If you are feeling overwhelmed, try answering these questions:
What makes a good day?
Is that happening now?
What can you do make today a good day?
Who can help you?
Are we missing our friends and teachers? Does noise from other people in the house distract you? Do you forget to do things because your routine changed?
You can talk to your friends and family about how these changes are making you feel or you can write down your ideas and share them when you feel more comfortable.
