Sonya Moore - July DSP Award Recipient

The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is proud to recognize an Independent Provider as the Portage DD Direct Support Professional (DSP) Award Recipient for the month of July.   The recipient is Sonya Moore.

Sonya was nominated by Kenneth Fletcher.  Here’s what Kenneth had to say about Sonya:  Sonya Moore Is The Best Provider I’ve Ever Had.  She Does A Great Job Staffing Me.  Kenneth also spoke of how Sonya has taken him on trips, including Cedar Point and to Bowling Green and Kenneth has met and spent time with Sonya’s family.

Additionally, Jim Bobek, SSA with Portage DD, has this to add about Sonya. “Sonya is great to work with and is a very valuable member of Kenneth’s team. She is always helpful and always willing to assist in times of need. This is a well deserved award and I congratulate her.”

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) of the Month Award is for those staff who provide direct support or direct services for individuals served throughout Portage County.

This award is an opportunity to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, while also promoting independence and inclusion.

Individual award recipients will receive public recognition from Portage DD and will be promoted on our social media channels. Award recipients will also later be considered for Direct Support Professional of the Year.

All nominations will be kept on file for review and consideration for a period of 12 months after initial submission.
