This month Portage DD is proud to spotlight Denise Hollon, who recently participated in The Princess Within Pageant. Denise was escorted across the stage by a Highway Patrolman.
The Princess Within Pageant takes place annually, and was founded by the Graham familty. It's sponsored by the Hartville Kitchen, Raphael's School of Beauty, Mission BBQ, and Tammy Weibel of Mary Kay. Congratulations to Denise on an amazing evening as a princess!

Portage DD: First Aid/CPR/AED Training Course

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.
$40/Individual

Instruction includes administration of oral, eye, ear, and nasal medications, medications administered via the topical route, and performance of health- related activities currently identified in law and rule, which may be performed by unlicensed personnel.
Note: The "NEW" certification course is held over three days, six hours per day. Participants must be available to attend the entire session for all three days in order to receive certification.

This training provides an introduction to trauma and trauma-informed approaches in behavioral health and human services.
