DSP Award Recipient - Jean Dawson

The Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is proud to recognize Jean Dawson as the Portage DD Direct Support Professional (DSP) Award Recipient for the month of December.   Jean works for Buckeye Residential Solutions and was nominated by SSA, Sarah Dye.

Here is what Sarah had to say about Jean:

Jean works with Mary and Tracey, who are both on my caseload. Jean has been amazing to work with and is such an asset to both lady's teams. She is quick to respond any time, any day. Her first priority is always putting the needs of both ladies before everything. She goes above and beyond and has volunteered her personal time to assure that Tracey was able to see her dad who lives over an hour away because she knows just how special and important it is to both Tracey and her family. Jean is truly one of a kind and has such a kind, genuine heart.

 This award is an opportunity to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities while also promoting independence and inclusion.

Individual award recipients will receive public recognition from Portage DD and be promoted on our social media channels. Award recipients will also later be considered for Direct Support Professional of the Year.

All nominations will be kept on file for review and consideration for a period of 12 months after initial submission.
