Message From The Superintendent - February 2025

Greetings! 

In preparation for the 2025 Limitless Art Show, which is open to persons receiving or eligible to receive services by Portage DD, Portage DD is hosting Art Nights. Spaces are limited, and some sessions, as noted, are open to the public, so do not delay in registering.

Monday, February 10th, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm: Reed Memorial Library, Jenkins Room, Ravenna.    The event is open to the public.

Monday, March 3rd, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Pierce Streetsboro Library. The event is open to the public; save the date; registration information is not currently available.

We wanted to welcome Gabrielle Guzman. Gabrielle will be a lifeguard on Wednesday nights and fill in when she can on other nights. She has a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education from Kent State University and is an Ohio Rise Care Coordinator with Coleman Health Services. Welcome, Gabrielle!!

We wanted to say goodbye and thank you to Alicia Hall.  Alicia has been with Portage DD since 2017.  Alicia retired on January 31st.  We wish Alicia happiness and good health as she moves on to her next journey.    She will be missed greatly!!  Her kindness and care for people with developmental disabilities have always been her strength!!  Thank you, Alicia!!
